Who is Goodstock Productions?
A Stockton native with a background in fashion merchandising and apparel design, Amy worked in retail management and visual merchandising before stepping out on her own. In 2010 she took a leap and started her own business, Something Borrowed, selling eclectic vintage clothing. As a vendor, she traveled to pop-up markets in the region, and was inspired by what she saw. In December 2014, with a group of friends, their first makers market was held, which evolved into the Stockmarket festival, and eventually the event company Goodstock Productions.
“We have people here who want the same things we're seeing in other places, so why not offer them in Stockton?"
While friends were leaving town to find opportunities elsewhere, Amy wanted to see what she could do in her own hometown. “There is change in the air in Stockton- I can sense it and it’s exciting to be a part of it.”
After completing a MA degree in History from the University of Edinburgh, Katie spent years travelling and working around the world- gaining experience in retail and restaurant management, marketing, and events planning.
Living in numerous thriving cities such as New York, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Melbourne, Katie experienced a lifestyle where inspiring markets were a staple of life. She valued their presence socially, but also as a means to learn and develop a greater appreciation of the process of craft.
Upon settling in Stockton in 2014, she realized the need for creative, collaborative events, and felt a craving for a sense of community. That December, with a group of friends, the first makers market was launched- which eventually became Stockmarket, and later Goodstock Productions.
A Stockton native, with a degree in apparel marketing and design, and a background in business- Anne moved to Chico after college, and opened a unique and quirky buy, sell, trade boutique: Yard Sale Swap Shop. Sadly, Yard Sale closed its doors in 2015 due to an over-saturated market in Chico. This led Anne to launch Annetiquities, selling her vintage clothing and oddities all around the region, eventually becoming a vendor at Stockmarket.
Anne relocated permanently to Stockton and joined forces with Goodstock, the folks behind the curated market.
"I knew right away this was something I wanted to be a part of- it felt like a community, and that's what this town needed."
